About ReStore
Give Used Goods a New Purpose and Help Build Homes
When you donate to Habitat Chesapeake ReStores, you’re doing more than clearing out your space, you’re supporting affordable housing and reducing landfill waste.
Our ReStores rely on donated items to keep inventory fresh and prices low. Once your items hit the sales floor, they’re sold at a discount to the public. 100% of profits support Habitat Chesapeake’s mission to build safe, affordable homes for families in Central Maryland.
Donation Drop-Off Hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 10:30 AM – 5:30 PM. All donations must be received by a ReStore team member during donation drop-off hours. Please do not leave donations outside when the ReStore is closed.
Free Pickup Available: We offer convenient donation pickup for qualifying items across most of our region.
Reduce Waste: Give your gently used items a second life, keeping them out of the landfill.

Donation Guidelines
Items We Accept
We gratefully accept new and gently used items in good, working condition, including:
- Furniture – Clean, complete sets only (sofas, dining sets, beds w/ dressers, tables, storage)
- Renovation Materials – New/like-new condition (cabinets, doors, windows, tile, flooring, lumber, vanities, sinks)
- Appliances – Working and under 10 years old (fridge, stove, washer, dryer, microwave, A/C)
- Housewares – Clean items only (dishes, décor, glassware, small home goods, books)
Items We Don’t Accept
To keep our team and customers safe, and to ensure quality inventory, we cannot accept the following:
- Mattresses or box springs
- Broken/incomplete furniture
- Certain building materials
- Appliances 10+ years old or HVAC units
- Clothing, bedding, rugs, toys
- Hazardous or medical items
- Paint – Check your local paint recycling locations)
