Upcoming Projects
We select where we work carefully, looking for amenities like access to green space and public transportation, as well as engaged local residents, businesses, fellow nonprofit organizations and civic groups who are already working on other community development initiatives. Habitat Chesapeake is devoted to bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. As such, we are determined to work in partnership with others to achieve outcomes that would be impossible if undertaken alone.

Curtis Bay
Our latest project, which meets all of this criteria and will begin construction soon, is on Church Street in Curtis Bay. These 9 houses will be directly adjacent to the 88-acre Farring-Baybrook Park with a recreation center, Baybrook Elementary/Middle School and Farring-Baybrook Recreation Center. We have been proud to partner in the planning process with the Greater Baybrook Alliance, a strong coalition of public and private entities and individuals who are working hard to secure investments in infrastructure, public safety, youth programming and more.

Orchard Ridge
After completing over two dozen units in this East Baltimore community, Habitat Chesapeake is returning to build more! Stay tuned for more updates as we share our next steps in this construction process.
Bridging The Gap
to affordable homeownership
Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake’s mission includes doing our work by bringing people together and creating opportunities by working with people and partners from public, private, and philanthropic organizations that can help us achieve our vision for affordable homeownership throughout our geographic footprint. With you, we can build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Interested in exploring opportunities for partnership?
