Habitat Chesapeake has the privilege and pleasure to build beyond the city line and expand into Baltimore County. On top of building and renovating homes here, Habitat Chesapeake works with many volunteer groups, churches, organizations, and individuals in Baltimore County as well.
In 2022, Habitat Chesapeake celebrated a landmark build with their very first home constructed using insulated concrete forms (ICFs). Through partnerships with Build With Strength, the ICFs Manufacturers Association, the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA), and BuildBlock ICFs, Habitat Chesapeake volunteers and staff worked together to construct a single family home on Elizabeth Avenue in Halethorpe in only 8 working days!
Check out our newsletter story to learn more about the ICF technology and the amazing volunteers that helped make it a reality.
Habitat Chesapeake is also proud to host our central office and Halethorpe ReStore in Baltimore County. Learn more about how the ReStores are raising funds to continue building affordable homes in Baltimore County and beyond.
