HabiCorps Workforce Development Program prepares individuals facing significant employment barriers for full-time jobs in construction trades. Trainees are AmeriCorps service members that serve 1700 hours building affordable housing for low income families with Habitat Chesapeake. While serving the community, Trainees are also perfecting construction and carpentry, hard work, punctuality and attendance. Upon completion of the program, Trainees receive an education award as well as job placement assistance.
