ReStore Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you enjoy interacting with the public or prefer working behind the scenes, chances are that we have a volunteer opportunity for you!

At the ReStores, we work hard to keep our ReStore operation costs to a minimum in order to maximize the profit donated to Habitat Chesapeake to help build homes. With this in mind, each store is staffed with a minimum number of paid employees, while volunteers make up the majority of our ReStore workforce. That’s why we need you.

As new donations come in each day, volunteers assist in accepting these contributions, preparing items for sale, pricing stock, arranging inventory both on the showroom floor. Plus, our volunteers help keep our warehouse and showroom floors well organized and sparkling clean. Volunteers also assist our shoppers, providing helpful customer service and support.

As you can see, there is a great deal of work to be done at our ReStores and your volunteer time is highly valued.

At the ReStore there’s always room to lend a hand! We are in need of assistance with the following:

  • Customer service
  • Warehousing
  • Merchandise/Pricing
  • Processing donations
