In-Kind Donations

Items such as construction materials, office supplies or even event space can be donated to help reduce the overall costs of building and operations. If you are a licensed professional in building trades, you can also donate your time and expertise to help build houses.

Submit your information to inform Habitat Chesapeake of the items or expertise you wish to donate.

Please note, all contributions, including gifts of materials and time, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The ReStore

If you are cleaning out or remodeling your home, don’t throw away your old furniture, cabinets or appliances. Instead, donate them to our Habitat Chesapeake ReStores. Our staff and volunteers will pick items up from your home and use them as inventory in one of our six store locations.

The profit from the sale of these donated items is invested into fulfilling the Habitat Chesapeake mission. By recycling used items, your donation will also help keep items out of the landfills.

To claim a donation on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
