We are incredibly proud to announce the graduation of our 2021 HabiCorps Workforce trainees! On a warm August evening, graduates celebrated in style with their friends and family as they looked to the future with new skills.
As part of our celebration of the many faces of Habitat, we want to highlight several of the hard-working individuals who have partnered with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake’s HabiCorps program, like Star.
On Friday, October 15, 2020, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake held a ceremonial groundbreaking in the North Baltimore neighborhood of Woodbourne- McCabe. The project will be undertaken in cooperation with Harkins Builders, Inc.
This summer, missions melded as Habitat Chesapeake crossed paths with one of the nation’s top-ranking medical centers, The Johns Hopkins Hospital in a partnership to build affordable housing and to promote affordable homeownership.

Connections with our community, volunteers and homebuyer is an inherent aspect of what we do on a daily basis. Through our mission, we partner with families to educate them on long-term investments, rally alongside volunteers to build homes, and cheer on homebuyers as they accept the keys to their first home.

When Dalena escorted her two young daughters to their new rooms on dedication day, the excitement in the air was contagious. With the climb of each step, the anticipation arose, not just for the girls, but for their mother as well.
